this map is good for meditdation :P lol joking aside. this is a good map design.

what i also like are those narrow paths that everybody seems to hate.(these are supposed to make you think on what units you send in first).

I kinda agree with hexodus there...
I am TERRIBLY sorry for you, becaus of ALL the very hard work you put into this map, but a fact just is a fact. The map does look great, you did a very good job there, BUT the epicness is just crushed by the narrow pathways :(. I really like to look at the map, but I just don't like playing on it. Hope this makes sense.

While this map looks nice and has good attention to detail, from a gameplay/balance perspective I think it's pretty terrible.

The size of the map and number of expansions suggests long games with big armies, but the majority of the map is a series of super-narrow pathways which is totally counter-intuitive to it's scale. Most competitive (and therefore balanced) maps tend to be tightest at the player's starting locations and get wider and more open towards the centre, where as this map is essentially the complete opposite.

The majority of the paths are in places 3 or 4 squares across, which is tiny and creates some major racial balance issues. As a Zerg player this map gives me nightmares.

An example of an imbalance would be the gold expansions, if a Terran were to expand here (which they wouldn't even need to destroy the rocks to achieve) - they could park a few siege tanks near the watchtower that's right outside (lol?) and laugh if anyone tried to attack them through the incredibly narrow paths.

Also, 5000~ doodads will inevitably cause some major issues for players with lower-end PC's. Lot's of trees especially seems to cause problems.

All in all, while you obviously have an eye for the aesthetics, the same cannot be said regarding common sense in map design.

Nice details but there are a few problems. The ramps are kinda difficult to spot and if you know there is a ramp there you will have a hard time trying to se how big it is. Also it is very, VERY green, after some time it becomes anoying, for me atleast. And for the expansions the have LOS blockers, it might be difficult to spot the entrance. A much bigger problem I think is that you have too many resources on the map. You have about 200.000 more than what I saw on blizzards maps and that can be a problem. I think that 8 player maps need to be aggresive maps where the fight for resources is very intense, here on this map, there is no fight for resources. Even with these problems I will give you 4 out of 5 points for your hard work and the details.

This map is truly grand. The detail is amazing, and the color is fantastic. FrozenWolf you are a true pro map maker.

The only problem I can see is the expansions are very close to each other leaving them susceptible to tank harassment, and the naturals are just a bit far from the mains. Far enough I wouldn't actually call them naturals.

Great map, excellent detail, runs fine on my PC.

Like the spawn locations and the little connector/choke point between allied bases, makes defense during rough times a little bit easier.

Map is huge! Can make for long an interesting play.

Watch towers all in useful, key locations.

Map is the same on both sides, perfectly mirrored.

The waterfall by my base was a little annoying sounding at first but it grew on me over time.

Going to be playing this map for some time to come, great job!

I will update this post/review with any bugs I encounter... hard to to say what I might run into without playing a ton of games on it.
